Tonight is possibly the warmest evening of 2005. It's like Spring has hit and all of San Francisco is happy again.

Carrel let me leave work a little early today, mostly because the sunshine was unbearable to look at from behind the plate glass windows of MCB. So I skipped out, walked home. I went into the corner store on Alabama and 23rd, craving something cold and sweet because summer weather in spring makes me crave that sort of thing. I remember thinking, "This is what I love about living in a city. Corner stores."

I slept the rest of the afternoon. This has been a fuck of a week. I feel like I've been chasing my tail. And given the chance to rest instead of to study or console someone else, I simply collapsed on my bed, tail between my teeth.

Later in the evening, Mandy and I saw a twinkling star. I asked her to accompany the moment with a little Disney song and we made a wish.
